The Faculty of Dentistry, represented by the community service unit, conducted a Diabetes Awareness Program at the maternity and children's hospital in Najran City, aimed at raising awareness and introducing the relationship between diabetes and oral and dental health, and highlighting the impact of unhealthy habits and behaviors on the incidence of diabetes.

Dr.Rahaf Al-Shahrani, stated that the role of the program comes to enhance the  community awareness, which contributes to raising the level of health awareness to take care of oral and dental health for patients with diabetes.

As well as raising awareness of the importance of follow-up to oral and dental health during pregnancy for patients with diabetes, in addition to raising awareness of the importance of periodic visits of patients with diabetes to dental clinics.

The dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Dr.Ahmed Al-Assiri, stated that the establishment of this program comes within a series of programs and activities implemented by the college to contribute to enhance the community awareness and activating their preventive role and urging them to follow proper health behaviors.
