The department teaches students the theoretical lectures on surgery and diseases of gums and supporting tissues and their relationship to systemic diseases as causes or symptoms of these diseases, in addition to teaching them the basic principles for the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases related to the gums or supporting tissues of the alveolar bone or age-related ligament as well as the principles of cosmetic surgery, Training students in surgery and gum disease clinics and supporting tissues on how to examine the tissues around the age clinically, using diagnostic radiographs, identifying the pathological changes that may affect these tissues and the ability to diagnose different mother The objectives of the Division are also to train students to develop consistent treatment plans that are appropriate for each case, focusing on the importance and objectives of the treatment plan, whether surgical or non-surgical, with a schedule for follow-up of patients after treatment. The department also trains students On how to use different ways to maintain oral hygiene and hygiene as a preventive system.
