The "Najran Culture between the Past and the Present" symposium was one of the activities of the Al-Watan Forum for Saudi Creativity, which the university hosted on the stage of the main building with the participation of Dr. Muhammad Naji Al-Saad, Abdullah Mahdi Sadran, Naji Mahdi Al Mayouf and moderated by Ali Zainan.

At the beginning of the symposium, Dr. Muhammad Al Saadon talked about the history of Najran, the origin of its name and the names given to the Najran region during the past ages, in addition to the value of the area through its location and history. Moreover, Abdullah Al Sadran discussed the region’s historical heritage and the most prominent archaeological sites that made the region one of the historical landmarks of the Kingdom, in addition to the place of the region in Islamic history.

Finally, Naji Al-Mayouf focused on the region's cultural and intellectual aspects, emphasizing the great number of intellectuals that the region has.
